Digitalisation is advancing at a huge rate as more and more people rely on the internet and GPS connectivity in their day to day lives in order to function. which has caused the demand for mobile data rises along side the prices of centralised services. Helium offers a decentralised solution, giving equal opportunity for the people to build a network and share in the profits of hosting.

Helium has reached record growth in terms of adoption from the miner’s side with hotspots as well as the enterprise users side. This is definitely set to grow in the future with more IoT devices connecting to helium’s low cost, high connectivity network. The biggest opportunity for the network would be the recent 5G path laid out to the team. As much as connectivity for IoT devices is great, they are limited in terms of use cases. The future 5G wireless network that helium is set to support should allow 5G compatible phones to connect to the network. If this works as planned, ordinary people can connect to hotspots that are owned and powered by people.
